Because the most spectacular action is not always the most effective

Our long-term partner, a large international financial institution has entrusted us with the task of helping them find a solution with a non-paying leasing company they had a property ownership issue over a catering facility worth hundreds of millions of forints. We analyzed the complex legal situation and assessed the restaurant undercover. Having evaluated the legal situation with our specialists, we determined that we can deal with the non-paying party with all the power of the law and have prepared a land ownership action plan. Shortly after we presented ourselves on site with the appropriate number of staff in tow.

Rather than lining up dozens of people on the premises, we simply walked into the restaurant as regular guests, and when we were inside the property, we began taking the necessary measures to take possession peacefully, avoiding violence. The non-paying party’s staff refused to leave the property, so we called the authorities and secured the area until the police had arrived. After having informed the authority properly about the legal situation and presenting the relevant documents at the scene, the police told the employees to vacate the premises.
All the assets were then inventoried and the property secured. Soon the proceedings started to reinstate the lawful owner of the property within their rights, and due to the carefully structured documentation our lawful actions were never questioned. Shortly, the financial institution could then find another interested party to run the restaurant, and the guests might not even have noticed the change of ownership.
